In 2021, the Traditional Architectures Group joined the Guarani-Mbya Nation in their Tenondé-Porã territory, in São Paulo, to build and document their new cultural center, as well as a prototype of the traditional “expedition house”.

Together with Joaquim Guarani, an elder and traditional builder, Jerá Poty, one of their young leaders, and a group of volunteers, we learned about Guarani construction techniques and collected information to format a “The Guarani- Mbya House Manual”.
