The Huni Kuin are known for their medicinal wisdom and frequently receive non-indigenous visitors seeking alternative cures. Thus, a project was requested for a guesthouse in the village to be built with local wood. The ten rooms will be located along a large wooden deck in the shape of a boa constrictor, an animal of great spiritual and symbolic importance to the Huni Kuin, which extends through the trees, providing spaces for rest and socialization. At the head of the boa constrictor is an office and a dining room, as well as a hammock area. At the tail, the dry composting toilets with gray water treatment in circles of banana trees.

As in the “riverside architecture” used by the Huni Kuin, the volumes are raised off the ground and assembled with a lightweight structure of small pillars and beams, sealed with planks held together by horizontal elements. The roof, which the Huni Kuin wanted to be low-maintenance, was designed as a sandwich of cheap and easily transportable corrugated metal tiles, together with a wooden lining and insulation made from local natural fibers.
