The Edgar Gayoso Residential Complex, a Minha Casa Minha Vida project, is set up as a dormitory neighborhood, with aggravating factors such as the lack of urban infrastructure, including transportation to the Teresina employment center. To strengthen the engagement of this relatively new settlement, the community demanded the construction of a space that would house different leisure, sports and educational activities, but also for the production and sale of their products and services. A large wooden roof floats over the volumes of raw earth that house these programs, providing thermal comfort in one of the hottest regions of the country. A large gutter snakes below the roof, collecting and carrying rainwater to different reuse points and culminating in a water fountain for the children.
